Job Overview

CVS Pharmacy is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations and provide professional service to patients. This role assists with prescription processing, customer service, medication preparation support, inventory, and maintaining accurate pharmacy records under the direction of licensed pharmacy professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with prescription drop-off, pickup, and general pharmacy questions.
• Enter prescription information accurately into pharmacy systems.
• Prepare and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision and applicable regulations.
• Measure, package, label, and organize medications as directed.
• Process insurance information and assist with prescription billing issues.
• Maintain accurate patient and prescription records.
• Communicate with pharmacists and pharmacy team members regarding prescription needs.
• Receive, organize, and restock medications and pharmacy supplies.
• Monitor inventory and report low-stock or expired products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy work area.
• Protect patient privacy and handle confidential information appropriately.
• Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service in a busy pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician, healthcare, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician certification or registration as required by applicable state regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using computers, pharmacy systems, and point-of-sale equipment.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information professionally.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
