Medical Professionals is seeking an eager and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our client's cardiology team in their Irvine location. Our client is a top cardiology practice in Orange County and is focused on the well-bring of their patients and on providing excellent service and care. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate documentation. Candidates must be bilingual in Korean in order to be considered.
This is a 3 month, Contract-to-Hire opportunity
Location: Irvine
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm
Compensation: $20-21/hr
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage patient check-in and check-out to ensure smooth patient flow
- Schedule/confirm appointments, coordinate return visits, conduct patient follow up calls
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures
- Collect patient demographics, medical history, and update electronic health records
- Handle phone inquiries using multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette
- Review and update medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing processes including medical collection activities and documentation review
- Maintain filing systems for medical records and administrative documents
- Support office management tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic
Requirements
- Candidates must be bilingual in Korean in order to be considered
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent diploma
- 1 years of Medical Front Office/Receptionist experience
- Experience with EMR systems and usage
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and software
- Additional certification or training in healthcare administration is a plus
