Job Summary
Medical Professionals is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to support a clinical team in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, team-based dental practice in Philadelphia, PA. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth clinical operations, patient comfort, and excellent chairside assistance. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards
- Assist dentists chairside during dental procedures
- Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, OSHA, HIPAA, and workplace safety standards
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, scheduling, and intake as needed
- Support dental and medical emergency readiness, including CPR compliance and emergency supplies
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient daily workflow and patient satisfaction
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- X-Ray certification required
- CPR certification required and maintained annually (OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control training also required as applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Nitrous Oxide certification highly recommended
- Strong experience working in a team-based clinical environment
Schedule and Pay
- Hire Type: Temp-to-Hire
- Location: Philadelphia, PA 19114
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $25.00–$27.00 per hour
