- Execute operational tasks for internal US/EU Request for Shipments (RFS) systems, including assisting users with the RFS intake platform.
- Assign appropriate HTS codes for imported and exported goods.
- Review and process supplier, freight, and broker shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure completeness and correctness of customs documentation.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, external suppliers, logistics providers, and colleagues in other regions.
- Support US/EU/UK import and export activities, including exhibition shipments and large cargo transportation arrangements.
- Provide accurate and timely updates to stakeholders throughout the shipping and delivery process.
- Coordinate customs clearance for direct vendor shipments and intercompany imports into the US and EU.
- Support all activities related to shipments, including domestic and international shipments, record keeping, reporting, internal audits, vendor contracts, and invoice processing.
- Facilitate domestic shipments by coordinating with shipping vendors, including supporting on-site shipment needs.
- Manage logistics-related data entry and documentation, including but not limited to:
- Bills of Lading (ocean bill of lading or seaway bill)
- Commercial invoices and packing lists
- Import and export documentation
- Customs clearance records
- Archiving and record retention in accordance with compliance requirements
- Communicate effectively with U.S. Customs and other relevant authorities; monitor changes in customs and trade regulations and recommend appropriate operational adjustments.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with logistics service providers and customs brokers to ensure compliance with US/EU export regulations.
- Apply basic knowledge and practices of export compliance, including maintaining product HS codes in the Trade Automation (TA) system.
- Perform additional projects and assignments as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in import/export shipping and customs clearance, including international shipping and Incoterms.
- Solid understanding of U.S. import/export processes and customs declaration procedures.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude and ensure clear and timely communication with internal and external partners.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to embrace and adopt new technologies and tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Salary range: $105,000 - $170,000 annually.
- Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short and long term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
