About the Role
A leading national nonprofit focused on helping kids and families thrive in a world of media and technology is hiring a Senior Director of Brand Marketing. The organization is best known for its independent age-based ratings and reviews of movies, TV shows, games, books, and apps, and works with schools, policymakers, and industry partners on digital citizenship and media literacy.
This is a senior leadership role on the marketing team, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. The Senior Director will translate brand strategy into integrated campaigns, lead cross-channel marketing execution, and manage the brand strategy team. The work spans campaign development, creative direction, partnerships with influencers and sponsors, event activations, and data-driven measurement. A core goal is driving awareness among a new generation of parents, educators, and decision-makers.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned brand marketer who blends creative storytelling with disciplined, metrics-first execution, and who is comfortable leading teams, briefing creative, coordinating with paid and growth functions, and collaborating with external partners.
What the Role Covers
- Leading development and execution of integrated brand marketing campaigns that resonate with families, educators, policymakers, and the broader community
- Driving awareness of the organization's full offering to a new generation of parents through modern, fresh approaches
- Ensuring alignment of brand positioning, tone, and messaging across all channels and touchpoints
- Serving as the strategic partner to creative teams (design and video production), crafting creative briefs that translate strategy into high-impact assets
- Coordinating with paid and growth teams to integrate paid media strategy into brand campaigns for cohesive cross-channel execution
- Setting overall strategic direction for multichannel marketing to build brand awareness among parents, teachers, and decision-makers
- Collaborating with external partners, sponsors, and influencers to co-create brand content and campaigns
- Partnering with events and creative production teams to ensure on-brand creative for major annual events, including an annual child advocacy summit
- Tracking, measuring, and reporting on campaign KPIs and insights for continuous optimization
- Leveraging AI-driven tools for workflow optimization, creative ideation, and content creation
- Leading, mentoring, and growing the brand strategy and campaigns team
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in brand marketing or creative services, preferably with consumer, tech, nonprofit, media, or mission-driven brands
- Proven track record developing and executing brand strategies and integrated multichannel campaigns across digital, social, print, video, and experiential platforms
- Experience overseeing brand activation at major in-person and online events and conferences
- Expertise in storytelling and brand narrative creation
- Strong leadership and team management experience, including building and leading campaign and social marketing teams
- Experience in digital marketing, content marketing, and social media strategy
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments, particularly creative and paid media teams
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
- Passion for the organization's mission of improving the lives of children and families in the digital age
