About the Role
A Catholic college preparatory school for boys on the San Francisco Peninsula, with an 80-year legacy of excellence in education, is hiring a Head of Marketing and Communication. This is the senior leadership position responsible for all marketing and communications strategy and execution. The Head of Marketing will develop and implement a comprehensive plan to enhance the school's reputation, strengthen enrollment recruitment, and ensure consistent messaging aligned with its Catholic mission. The role spans brand management, digital marketing, publications, media relations, crisis communications, and executive communications support for the President and Principal. The position leads and develops the Marketing and Communications team and collaborates closely with Admissions, Advancement, Athletics, and Academic Leadership.

What the Role Covers
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy
- Supporting enrollment management through targeted recruitment campaigns
- Strengthening the school's market position and communicating its value proposition
- Monitoring market trends and competitor positioning
- Upholding consistent brand identity standards across all print and digital materials
- Ensuring all messaging aligns with the school's mission and Catholic identity
- Overseeing website strategy, SEO/SEM initiatives, social media platforms, and AI tools
- Developing digital campaigns that increase engagement and visibility, and monitoring analytics and performance metrics
- Directing editorial strategy and production of institutional publications
- Overseeing marketing materials for admissions, advancement, events, and alumni relations
- Highlighting student life, academic excellence, and mission-driven initiatives
- Overseeing public and media relations and crisis communications
- Supporting executive communications for the President and Principal
- Leading and developing the Marketing and Communications team
- Collaborating with admissions, advancement, athletics, and academic leadership on special marketing initiatives and events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (MBA or Master's in Marketing preferred)
- 8-10 years of marketing experience, including leadership roles
- Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing strategies
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, brand management, and customer acquisition strategies
- Experience managing marketing budgets and teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
- Experience in data-driven marketing and marketing automation tools
