Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – ICU Step Down to provide high-quality care to patients transitioning from intensive care. This role involves close monitoring, advanced clinical interventions, and rapid response to changes in patient conditions in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients transitioning from ICU to step-down unit
- Monitor patients using cardiac monitors, ventilators, feeding tubes, and other medical equipment
- Perform frequent and detailed patient assessments
- Recognize and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
- Respond to cardiac arrest and rapid response situations
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy
RN01
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of Medical/Surgical Step Down experience OR ICU experience
- Minimum two (2) years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
- Minimum two (2) years of conscious sedation experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Active New York State RN License
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
