Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Real Estate Equity Producer to originate, structure, and close equity investments for commercial real estate transactions across multiple asset classes. This role is responsible for sourcing institutional and private capital relationships, identifying investment opportunities, and coordinating equity placements for acquisitions, developments, recapitalizations, and joint venture transactions.
The ideal candidate has strong relationships with private equity firms, family offices, institutional investors, and high-net-worth capital sources, along with deep knowledge of commercial real estate finance and capital markets.
Key Responsibilities - Equity Origination & Capital Raising
- Source and secure equity capital for commercial real estate transactions nationwide.
- Develop and maintain relationships with:
- Private equity firms
- Family offices
- Institutional investors
- Real estate investment funds
- High-net-worth investors
- Registered investment advisors and capital allocators
- Originate joint venture equity, preferred equity, mezzanine capital, and LP equity solutions.
- Match investors with acquisition, development, and recapitalization opportunities.
- Prepare investment packages and offering memorandums.
- Negotiate term sheets, partnership structures, waterfalls, promote structures, and investor reporting requirements.
- Maintain active coverage of commercial real estate capital markets trends.
- Attend industry conferences, investor meetings, and networking events.
- Build strategic relationships with developers, owners, operators, and institutional capital providers.
Track investor mandates, return requirements, and geographic preferences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience in:
- Commercial real estate capital markets
- Equity placement
- Real estate private equity
- Structured finance
- Demonstrated track record of sourcing and closing equity transactions.
- Strong network of real estate capital relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial real estate underwriting and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Pay includes base salary plus a performance-based compensation package with unlimited earnings potential based on production. Position can be based in Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, or Charleston, SC
