Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as wiring, conduit bending, and mounting fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support electrical installations.
- Support the setup and troubleshooting of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in various environments.
- Conduct basic measurements with tools like ohmmeters to test circuits and ensure proper functionality.
- Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure compliance with safety regulations during all work activities.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential!
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment such as ohmmeters or multimeters.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams is a plus.
- Experience with industrial or commercial electrical systems is advantageous.
- Understanding of safety practices related to high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Construction or frame carpentry experience can be beneficial for understanding structural aspects of installations.
