Duties
- Assist lead plumbers with pipe installation, fitting, and assembly using hand tools and power tools
- Support the setup and teardown of plumbing systems according to blueprints and technical drawings
- Help interpret technical drawings and building codes to ensure compliance during installation
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and handling power tools responsibly
- Assist with maintenance and repair of existing plumbing systems on construction sites
- Support welding, pipe threading, and other mechanical tasks as directed by supervisors
- Carry out basic math calculations for measurements, pipe sizing, and material estimates
- Help with remodeling or handyman tasks related to plumbing systems as needed
Experience
- Prior construction experience or familiarity with construction sites is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe installation, and maintenance techniques is a plus
- Experience reading blueprints or interpreting technical drawings is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, pipe threading, and mechanical work is beneficial
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites and adherence to building code requirements
- Customer service skills are valued for interactions with clients or team members during projects
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and material planning
