We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation, safety, and appearance of our facilities. As a vital member of our facilities team, you will take charge of maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and supporting ongoing improvements with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical wiring, circuits, schematics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Conduct welding tasks and mechanical repairs using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with residential painting projects and other facilities upkeep to enhance the building’s appearance.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues effectively.
Skills
- Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits and working with schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform welding and use tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical components.
- Experience in facilities maintenance within residential environments.
- Ability to read technical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Supervising experience demonstrating leadership in team settings or project management.
- Proficiency in English for clear communication across teams and documentation purposes.
