Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Condo Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair building systems and common areas within a condominium community. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and help ensure the property remains safe, clean, and well maintained for residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior spaces
- Respond to maintenance requests from condo residents in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other building systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance and regular property inspections
- Maintain hallways, lighting, doors, locks, and safety equipment
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, salting walkways, and minor landscaping
- Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required
- Maintain maintenance logs and report larger repair needs to property management
Qualifications
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of building maintenance, facilities, or property maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Good communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in condominiums, apartments, or residential communities
- Trade certification or vocational training
- Basic knowledge of building safety systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Good communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors
