PART-TIME HR MANAGER
THE COMPANY:
Our client is an environmental services company that has been proudly servicing the greater Houston area for over 20 years. They are looking for a part-time direct-hire HR Manager to join their team for $25-30/hr. This position is located in Pasadena, TX
THE EXPECTATIONS:
- Assist in administering competitive, yet cost-effective, compensation and talent management.
- Advise management on policy and/or legal compliance issues.
- Advise management in adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and compliance reporting.
- Develop, recommend, and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Advise management in developing policies that ensure logical, motivating, and effective employee relations.
- Ensure open and candid communications with management and employees and document HR discussions.
- Provide high level, confidential employee relations, counselling, and exit interviews.
- Assist with recruiting and retaining talent and keeping the requisite skills.
- Maintain competitive, cost-effective talent management systems.
- Evaluate training needs of management and employees. Oversee manager and employee training to ensure legal compliance and continuing employee development. (e.g. sexual harassment, child protection, professional development, etc.)
- Collaborate with managers and employees to ensure job descriptions are updated as necessary.
- Analyze compensation when requested; monitor performance evaluation/goal setting program and recommend revisions as necessary.
- Administer and advise management on renewals of benefit programs (e.g. long-term and short-term disability, FMLA requests, health insurance, etc.).
- Oversee random drug testing
- Recommend employee engagement activities.
THE GOAL:
The goal of the HR Manager is to support the organization by developing compliant, effective, and strategically aligned HR policies, programs, and processes. They work to strengthen employee relations, ensure legal and regulatory adherence, and maintain competitive compensation, benefits, and talent management practices.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field required.
- Human Resources certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible human resources experience.
Salary : $25 - $30
