Job Summary: Primary responsibility is to drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and physically unload the materials to the customer's satisfaction. Help load and unload trucks, put merchandise away, clean up yard.
- Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy while supporting daily operations.
- Load trucks according to the materials listed on the sales invoice.
- Build loads safely and efficiently to ensure accurate and secure delivery.
- Deliver and unload materials to the customer’s satisfaction in a timely manner, including completing small load deliveries as needed.
- Assist customers in the yard or warehouse with locating and loading materials.
- Listen to and work with customers to understand and meet their needs.
- Stock and organize warehouse inventory to maintain an efficient workspace.
- Receive and unload incoming trucks while verifying materials against purchase orders.
- Maintain inspection of each vehicle driven to ensure safe operation.
- Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission.
- Desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Be self-motivated and productive.
- Physical strength to lift and carry 75 pounds consistently.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Customer-oriented self-starter who is a quick learner and adapts easily to new tasks.
