Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. We have a regular, full-time position for a Water/Wastewater Technician position. This position requires the technician to travel between job sites performing associated duties required to operate and maintain water/wastewater systems.

Responsibilities Include
- Maintaining treatment systems (piping pumps, valves, and tanks)
- Preparing chemicals for treatment systems: operating and maintaining instrumentation on treatment systems and meters (calibration, repair, troubleshooting)
- Laboratory sampling and recordkeeping
- Preparing field reports
- Grease trap inspections
- Marking Miss Digs
- General maintenance of vehicles, work areas, and equipment
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- A certificate or higher in water technology or a related field
- If no certificate, at least one (1) year of relevant experience
- Michigan D Wastewater license
- Michigan S-4, D-4 Water Treatment license
- Familiarity with the principles and practices of water/wastewater treatment plant operations (e.g., maintaining piping, pumps, valves, and tanks)
- Operating and maintaining instrumentation on treatment systems and meters
- Understanding of principles and methods of bacteriological and chemical water/wastewater treatment
- Knowledge of wastewater collection systems and water distribution systems
- Knowledge of/ experience with safety training
