Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing exciting success and sustainable growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a water/wastewater project engineer for both public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities Include

• Serving as the project engineer for civil/environmental water and wastewater projects
• Overseeing the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities for municipalities, industries, and investor-owned utilities
• Assisting with construction administration associated with facilities
• Developing calculations and detailed design
• Collaborating with project managers and clients toward implementation of designs
• Writing engineering reports and technical memoranda
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
  
  

Some travel will be required.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, environmental, chemical or biological engineering from an accredited college or university
• At least four (4) years of relevant water/wastewater project experience
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Will Have Any/all Of The Following

• Experience with planning, design and analysis of municipal infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater systems, sewer force mains, lift stations, and similar projects
• Experience with groundwater wells, clear wells, elevated storage tanks, and pump stations
• Hydraulic and/or treatment modeling experience
• Construction observation experience
• Experience with municipal and county government client interaction
• Experience creating project scope and fees
