As a result, a part-time position is available for an Aviation Business Development Specialist. The hours for this position could vary weekly from 20 to 30, potentially sometimes more than 30, and may occasionally exceed 40. Since this position is part-time, there are no benefits. This opportunity is available at either our Orlando or Tampa, FL office location.

Responsibilities include:
- Identifying, obtaining, and managing new clients/projects in Florida and the Southeast region as assigned.
- Visiting current and potential clients to stay informed of their needs and services.
- Assisting with the development of the Aviation group’s strategic plan, business plan, and
marketing plan to establish goals and identify activities necessary to attain goals.
- Working with clients to justify, plan, fund, and develop projects.
- Attending client meeting, may include evenings.
- Participating in trade shows and conferences.
- Assisting with proposal development and project scoping as needed.
- Consulting with marketing director and marketing staff as needed.
- Consulting and assisting other business units within Mead & Hunt and assisting with cross-selling other company services.
- Creating and/or assisting with client presentations.
- Other duties as assigned.
A valid driver's license and frequent travel (between approximately 50-75%) to various client sites and events will be required.
The successful candidate must have at least one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, business development, engineering, architecture, planning, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 7 years of relevant airport industry experience.
OR
- If no degree, must have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the airport industry.
The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:
- At least 10 years of relevant airport industry experience.
- Knowledge and involvement in business development.
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
- Strong airport client relationships and client management skills.
- Previous participation in airport related tradeshows and conferences.
