Sewer & Drain Apprentice

About the Role: In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians to learn the skills required to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial sewer and drain systems. Sewer & Drain Apprentice Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior technicians with installation of sewer and drain repairs.
• Excavate indoor and outdoor underground drain systems to prepare them for repair or renovation.
• Perform restoration of excavated areas using stone, soil, concrete, and asphalt where necessary.
• Operate a light dump truck to haul materials to and from jobsites.
• Learn to operate drain cleaning machines, jetters, augers, and camera inspection equipment.  As you mature, you may be given the opportunity to learn how to tow heavy equipment, operate mini-excavators and other larger tools.
• Prepare job sites by gathering tools, materials, and safety equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of tools, vehicles, and work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service while on job sites.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to build technical skills and industry knowledge.

Sewer & Drain Apprentice Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments (crawl spaces, basements, outdoors, etc.).
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude, contributing to a winning team.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Prior plumbing or mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
