As a Sales Counselor for McKinley Homes TX, LLC, you will own the full sales cycle—from first contact to contract to closing—across our Houston-area communities. Responsibilities
Convert leads into contracts by responding quickly to internet leads, walk-ins, and referrals; qualifying prospects; setting appointments; conducting tours; and closing sales.
Maintain a disciplined follow-up cadence using phone, text, and email while managing pipeline activity in the CRM to move prospects to the next step.
Generate business through Realtor relationships, networking, outreach, community events, and consistent referral follow-up.
Conduct engaging tours showcasing the community, available lots, and inventory homes; present pricing and incentives clearly; and handle objections professionally.
Maintain accurate CRM notes, tasks, stages, and reporting while following McKinley’s sales process consistently and accurately.
Monitor competitor information consistently, including pricing, current incentives, and sales pace; provide actionable market feedback to leadership.
Ensure model homes, sales offices, and completed inventory homes are organized, welcoming, and ready for showings.
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate milestones, paperwork, walkthroughs, and closings to keep buyers informed and on track.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of onsite new home sales experience with a homebuilder (or directly comparable new construction sales role) with a proven track record of closing.
Demonstrated success in a commission-only or heavily commission-weighted role; comfortable being measured by results.
Strong knowledge of the new home sales process and familiarity with mortgage financing.
Proven ability to work leads with urgency, execute consistent follow-up, and manage a sales pipeline without constant oversight.
Strong communication skills in-person, by phone, via email, and in online environments such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat; CRM experience required.
Superior organization, attention to detail, and consistent process execution.
Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle; ability to travel across Greater Houston communities and work weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Consistent performance metrics such as contracts written/closed, appointment conversion, close rate, rankings, or awards.
Strong Realtor referral production and event/outreach experience.
