Position Summary
The Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) combines technical knowledge with sales skills to drive sales growth in assigned regions. Essential Duties
- Responsible for the growth and performance of “Tech Products” (Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Filtration, Lubrication and Engineered Systems) within assigned Regions.
- Drive growth through owned accounts and the local sales team.
- Develops growth plan and strategy for “Tech Products.”
- Develops account sales plan by working closely with the sales team.
- Develops fluid power and electrical system designs as well as estimating costs by working closely with the engineering team.
- Assist the sales team with value added solutions proposals and presentations.
- Supports fluid power and electrical systems in the field.
- Supports inside and outside sales teams with technical products and solutions.
- Develops technical product and solution sales training by working closely with the Regional Sales Managers.
- Participates in sales calls in assigned region.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Industrial sales experience.
- Working knowledge of PLC’s and motion controllers.
- Significant expertise in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Filtration, Lubrication, and Engineered Systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Persuasive and goal oriented.
- Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Minimum of an associate degree (AA) in Fluid Power Technology or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required: ERP, CRM, Inventory Software, Microsoft Office Suite.
