Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part Time Athletics Coordinator to oversee our sports programs and activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for athletics and a strong background in coaching, teaching, and/or working with students. This role involves managing various sports programs, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants, and fostering a positive environment for extracurricular participation.
Duties
- Oversee all MCS athletic programs including football, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, baseball, softball, cross country, and track.
- Schedule and attend games, coordinate transportation, ticket sales, officials, and fundraising.
- Monitor student grades and eligibility.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community members to promote athletic programs and encourage participation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe environment for all participants.
- Other duties as outlined in the job description.
Experience
- Proven experience in sports coaching or athletic coordination is essential.
- Experience working with students in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively within an athletic context.
