About the Role:

McCourt Global is seeking a Senior Communications Associate to support and execute communications across this portfolio. This is a hands-on generalist role for someone equally comfortable drafting a press release or internal communication, preparing an executive briefing, and managing a media relationship — often in the same week. The role sits within a compact, senior communications team and reports directly to the Director of Communications. You will be expected to move fluidly across workstreams, exercise independent judgment, and operate as a trusted partner to senior leadership from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Media Relations & External Communications: Support and execute media strategies, including drafting press releases, pitching stories, managing media relationships, monitoring coverage, writing op-eds and amplifying executive thought leadership.
• Internal Communications: Develop and deliver clear, consistent internal messaging, including leadership communications, organizational updates, and cross-functional alignment materials.
• Executive Support: Prepare high-quality briefing documents and background materials for executive engagements, media appearances, and speaking opportunities.
• Events & Activations: Support the planning and execution of communications strategies around events and launches, ensuring cohesive messaging and strong activation tied to leadership visibility and key initiatives.
• Digital & Content Management: Maintain and update website content via WordPress, internal newsletters via MailChimp, visual assets using Canva, and support content development more broadly.
• Social Media & Digital Amplification: Support and execute social media strategies across organizational and executive channels, developing platform-appropriate content that extends the reach of announcements, events, and thought leadership.
• Measurement & Reporting: Monitor and analyze coverage, digital engagement, and content performance on an ongoing basis, translating results into clear reporting and actionable insights for the team.
• Cross-Functional & Agency Collaboration: Coordinate across internal teams and external agency partners to manage inputs, ensure consistency, and support multiple concurrent workstreams.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4–5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field ideally in an agency or multi-client environment.
• Proven media relations experience with a track record of securing press and podcast interviews and speaking opportunities.
• Experience managing social media channels — particularly LinkedIn — with a demonstrated ability to develop platform-appropriate content and support executive social presence.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives and experience drafting press materials and executive content.
• Ability to exercise sound editorial and strategic judgment, anticipate needs, and operate proactively in a high-trust environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead projects from concept through execution with minimal oversight.
• Familiarity with WordPress, TalkWalker, Canva or similar tools for website hosting, digital measurement, and creative design.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and adept at identifying challenges, proposing solutions, and executing with minimal oversight.
• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience working in the technology sector and/or with technology media.
• Exposure to crisis or issues communications, with an ability to exercise sound judgment and respond quickly when managing sensitive or time-pressured situations.
• Comfort using AI tools for drafting, research, and workflow efficiency.
• French language proficiency.

What Success Looks Like:

• In the first 90 days, you have developed a working command of the portfolio, including its businesses, principals, stakeholders, and the distinct narratives each requires. You are producing work that needs limited revision and managing your own workstreams with little prompting.
• At six months, you are a reliable, trusted presence on the team. Senior leadership is confident putting your materials in front of executives after review. You are anticipating needs before they are voiced, flagging issues early, and consistently bringing sound judgment alongside strong execution.
• At one year, you have meaningfully contributed to at least one high-profile initiative or moment — a major announcement, a flagship event, a media push — and have left a visible mark on how McCourt Global communicates. You are not just executing strategy; you are helping to shape it.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000 annually. The actual salary offer will be determined on factors including the qualifications, experience, skills, and abilities of the applicant. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
