Senior Project Manager, Traffic Engineering

McCormick Taylor is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager/Manager in the Traffic Engineering discipline with a Pittsburgh, PA market focus in a hybrid work environment. 

The successful candidate will serve as Project Manager or Lead Traffic Engineer on projects involving planning, analysis, and design of engineering projects.

•    Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills. Leads projects meetings and gives technical presentations
•    Marketing efforts including meeting with clients and teaming partners
•    Prepares proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for assignments
•    Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas
•    Mentors and trains supporting staff necessary to complete assignments
•    Helps promote company fiscal and hiring goals
•    Assists with employee reviews
•    Performs invoicing, status reports, tracks accounts receivable, and related accounting needs
•    Routinely contributes to project and staffing backlog projections

•    Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
•    A Pennsylvania PE and/or PTOE license is required
•    15 years experience in a similar position or equivalent working knowledge/experience in the field of traffic engineering
•    Direct experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike design criteria, standards and procedures
•    Hands-on experience with common traffic engineering software including Synchro, VISSIM, HCS, Microstation
•    Traffic signal design experience on PennDOT projects
•    Ability to work on multiple assignments and be accountable for project/task schedules and budgets
•    Experience and expertise in project management
