Position Overview
The Sealcoat Foreman is responsible for leading and managing a sealcoat crew while ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role is intended for an experienced foreman with hands-on sealcoating knowledge, leadership ability, and a strong understanding of field operations.
The Sealcoat Foreman serves as the primary on-site leader, coordinating crew activities, equipment, materials, and daily production while maintaining clear communication with supervisors and customers.

Key Responsibilities
Safety & Leadership
- Ensure safety is prioritized in all aspects of work and that company safety policies are followed at all times
- Lead by example and promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork
- Direct daily crew activities and assign tasks based on job requirements
- Train, coach, and support crew members to maintain productivity and quality
- Oversee sealcoating operations including site preparation, application, and cleanup
- Ensure materials, equipment, and personnel are ready and properly utilized
- Monitor job quality, production rates, and jobsite organization
- Assist with labor on the jobsite as needed
- Operate and oversee use of trucks and equipment required for sealcoating operations
- Serve as the main point of contact on-site for supervisors, customers, and crew members
- Communicate daily progress, challenges, and needs to supervisors
- Ensure crews arrive on time and are prepared for scheduled work
- Complete daily logs, time tracking, and basic job documentation
- Identify field issues and implement practical solutions or work-arounds
- Support training and onboarding of new crew members
- Proven experience as a sealcoat foreman or lead in pavement maintenance operations
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated leadership ability
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class A preferred
- Relatively clean motor vehicle record
- Applicants with drug or alcohol driving offenses in the last three years will not be considered
- Other violations evaluated per insurance standards
- Ability to work 40–60 hours per week, including weekends as required
- Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
