What's the role?Our Seasonal Client Success / Customer Service Representative will serve as the front desk and first point of contact for our Black Earth office during tax season. This individual will greet clients, answer phones, and provide administrative and light tax-related support to our partners and staff. This role is a key brand ambassador for the firm, delivering a welcoming and professional experience with every client interaction. Responsibilities include:Greeting and directing clients and visitors by phone, email, or in personAnswering and routing incoming calls while providing excellent customer serviceProviding administrative support to the MBE team, including correspondence, coordinating appointments, scanning and assembling documents, handling office mail, and general front-desk coverageAssisting with the intake and delivery of tax documents and paymentsSupporting the tax team with basic tax-related tasks, such as organizing paperwork and assisting with the preparation and delivery of completed tax returns (1040 experience is a plus but not required)Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environmentWhat experience and skills do I need to be successful?Previous experience in a customer service, receptionist, or administrative support role preferredSome exposure to individual tax returns (1040s) or a tax office environment is helpfulStrong communication and customer service skills for interacting with clients in person, over the phone, and via emailComfortable working daily in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and OutlookStrong attention to detail, organization, and follow-throughFriendly, professional demeanor with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, seasonal environmentWhat will my schedule look like?This role supports our office hours of Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., working an 8-hour shift each day.During the January–April tax season, this role will work every other Saturday (8:00–12:00 or 9:00–1:00), offering the opportunity for additional income through overtime hours.This is a seasonal position, with training beginning in January and continuing through the end of tax season in April.How do I join?The first step is applying with your resume.
