THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to join its Philadelphia office. This is primarily a research and writing-intensive role working directly with a partner in the firm's coverage group. While some litigation exposure is involved, the heart of this position is producing high-quality written work product -- coverage opinions, legal memoranda, and analytical briefs that drive strategy for carrier clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong academic credentials and writing skills who wants to develop deep expertise in insurance coverage law under direct mentorship from an experienced coverage partner.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Research and analyze complex insurance coverage issues across a variety of policy types and fact patterns
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and legal memoranda
• Assist in declaratory judgment actions and coverage-related litigation
• Interpret policy language and apply it to underlying claims and litigation
• Support the coverage partner on carrier client matters from intake through resolution
• Monitor developments in Pennsylvania and New Jersey coverage law

WHAT YOU BRING

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Pennsylvania Bar admission (or eligibility)
• 1 years of experience in insurance coverage, civil litigation, or related legal practice
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills -- this is the primary requirement
• Familiarity with insurance policy interpretation and coverage analysis a strong plus
• Detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and comfortable working independently
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and produce clean, precise work product under deadline
• Barred in PA

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Base salary range: $100,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience
