We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support our dental team in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and the treatment area to ensure smooth workflow.
- Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other imaging tools while adhering to infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
- Support chairside assisting with procedures across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Monitor vital signs and medical documentation as needed for patient safety and comprehensive care.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following infection control protocols and sterilization procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent service delivery.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in dental assisting procedures.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security.
- Strong communication skills suitable for interacting with pediatric patients and their families.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred; ongoing education in pediatric dentistry or related specialties is advantageous.
