Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will support our dental practitioners in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the clinic. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, providing chairside support.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Take and develop X-rays, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or Epic software.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including billing and insurance verification.
• Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dentistry.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, and infection control practices.
• Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental procedures.
• Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.
