Contracts Administrator

Job Description:
· Mayflower is looking to augment its Contracts department team by inviting resumes from individuals to fill a Contracts Administrator position for performing contract administration duties related to the Company’s contractual tasks. The successful candidate will have 5 years experience performing contracts administration functions and a demonstrated ability to negotiate Government and commercial contract terms and conditions with customers, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers. They pay careful attention to detail, have good drafting skills, and are willing to perform within time constraints, administer/manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain good relationships with customers and subcontractors, and liaise with Mayflower Programs and Engineering managers and staff to accomplish contractual commitments and reporting to customers. A working familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) will be a plus. This position is supervised, and reports to a manager. Candidates possessing superior contracting skills and 10 years of demonstrated relevant performance may be considered for a more senior Contracts position.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Drafting responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Reviewing contract deliverables
- Reviewing and negotiating Prime Contracts terms/regulations
- Monitoring company compliance with contractual requirements, applicable laws, delivery schedules, payment provisions, and reporting requirements
- Reviewing Purchase Order (PO) terms with vendors
- Reviewing/negotiating Software License Agreements
- Supporting drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of Subcontracts issued by and to Mayflower
- Issuing, reviewing, and negotiating the terms of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
- Working within various tiers of the organization, e.g., collaborating with the project managers, the engineering team, the proposal and business management teams, and customers to accomplish business goals.
Required Skills and Education:
- 5-10 years’ experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to review and negotiate Government and commercial contracts (CFCM and/or CPCM certification and command of FAR/DFARs regulations will be a plus)
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance
