This is a first shift opportunity! We are a fast-paced growing manufacturing facility seekin an Industrial Mechanic to keep our production lines moving efficiently. Are your naturally mechanically inclined? Do you love taking things apart, figuring out how they work, and putting them back together? If you have a strong foundational mechanical knowledge and a knack for troubleshooting mechanical systems, we want you on our team!
No blowmolding experience? No problem. Our priority is finding candidates who have a core techinical aptitude and a great attitude. We provide comprehensive, paid on-the-job training to teach you everything you need to know about our specialized blowmolding machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose, isolate, and fix issues with complex electromechanical production equipment.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) to minimize machine downtime.
- System Diagnosis: Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical control components.
- Component Replacement: Dismantle faulty machinery to remove, repair, or replace defective mechanical parts, bearings, gears, and drive systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Work alongside engineering and operations teams to optimize machine performance and safety.
What We Are Looking For
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and hardware.
- Electromechanical Troubleshooting: Proven ability to troubleshoot automated systems where electrical controls and physical mechanics meet (e.g., reading basic schematics, working with relays, sensors, and motors).
- Eagerness to Learn: A strong desire to undergo paid technical training and master specialized industrial blowmolding equipment.
- Safety-First Mindset: Strict adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A logical approach to diagnosing machinery failures calmly and efficiently.
