Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to provide one-on-one in-home care for a Veteran in the Tunkhannock, PA area. Position Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one personal care and companionship
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
- Bathing and grooming
- Dressing assistance
- Mobility and transfers
- Toileting assistance
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Accompany and support client during daily activities
- Observe and report changes in condition or behavior
- Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
- Document care according to agency requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous caregiving, home care, healthcare, or related experience preferred but not required
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused attitude
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
