Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to provide one-on-one in-home care for a Veteran in the Tunkhannock, PA area. This rewarding opportunity allows you to build meaningful relationships while supporting a Veteran's independence, dignity, and quality of life in the comfort of their own home.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one personal care and companionship
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
  • Bathing and grooming
  • Dressing assistance
  • Mobility and transfers
  • Toileting assistance
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Medication reminders
• Accompany and support client during daily activities
• Observe and report changes in condition or behavior
• Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
• Document care according to agency requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous caregiving, home care, healthcare, or related experience preferred but not required
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused attitude
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
