Shipping & Receiving

• Check incoming materials against invoices and notify purchasing and supervision of defective materials or shortages.
• Check invoice against purchase orders and bills of material for accuracy.
• Store materials in Receiving area for later use.
• Maintain bearing log books (first count).
• Clean shop area daily and empty garbage barrels from shop twice weekly.
• Perform daily inspection Webex trucks and forklift.
• Pick up and deliver Webex goods, as required.
• Obtain supplies and materials required to run the job.
• Complete inspection reports.
• Follow all standard shop practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Ensure that all machined parts are properly protected.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance, as required, including oiling and cleaning.
• Return tools to tool crib or appropriate area daily, a required.
• Communicate to other operators and supervisors information regarding work procedures being used and anticipated on a job.
• Loads, unloads, and moves materials and finished machined parts, and machine components within or outside of the plant.
• Reads job routings, follows oral instructions to ascertain materials, machined parts and components to be moved.
• Opens containers, crates and pallets using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, carts and shelves by hand.
• Loads and unloads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit,  using hand tools.
• Conveys materials, machined parts and components to or from storage or work areas to designated area, using  hand truck, pushcart, forklift, or carry by hand.  This may include going outdoors between buildings.
• Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination, using hand-operated crane or hoist.
• Use power hoist.
• Assembles crates to contain machines, machined parts, or machine components, using hand tools, power nailers and power saws.
• Cleans and deburrs finished machined parts using hand grinder, power drill, power sander or hand deburring tools.
• Masks and plugs areas on finished machined parts in preparation for plating, painting or other coatings.
• Cleans machined parts and components in sand blast cabinet as needed.

Skills & Knowledge

Ability to use overhead crane, forklift and stakebed truck. 

Record-keeping skills. 

Valid driver's license with good driving record.
