Shipping and Receiving

Wage: $18-$23 an hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 7am to 3:30pm Monday - Friday
Location: Appleton, WI

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• · Report directly to the Quality Manager and follow all procedures and processes required by the Quality Management System (QMS)
• · Set up and maintain files for incoming materials
• · Unload materials from trucks or trailers
• · Inspect parts for damage and verify documentation matches prints and purchase orders
• · Contact suppliers for missing or incomplete documents; escalate to QA, Engineering, or Purchasing if needed
• · Tag materials according to procedure and store in proper locations
• · Record receipt times and storage locations in the computer system
• · Perform and document inspections as directed by the system or other methods, accepting or rejecting parts based on results
• · Conduct inspections according to QMS standards, including checking for shipping damage and noting findings on the Bill of Lading
• · Open boxes or crates to inspect condition and confirm parts match drawings and purchase orders
• · Collaborate with manufacturing to pull and package orders for shipment
• · Arrange freight as needed and ensure timely pickup
• · Prepare and verify shipping paperwork for accuracy and completeness
• · Photograph and maintain records of outbound loads
• · Coordinate with suppliers for custom packaging requirements
• · Order and maintain inventory of packing supplies
• · Maintain carts, racks, and floor locations in organized and accurate condition
• · Assist with or perform inventory counts as directed
• · Conduct daily equipment checks and maintain records as required
• · Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE when hazards are present
• · Maintain material handling equipment, including charging batteries and topping off electrolytes

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• · Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs
• · Must have ERP Software and Outlook experience
• · Able to stand and sit for extended periods
• · Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions when required
• · Proficient in operating forklifts and overhead cranes
• · High School diploma or equivalent
• · Certificate or Associates degree in related field helpful
• · Able to interpret calipers, micrometers and thread gages
• · Basic mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge
