What You’ll Do
- Partner with plant and operations teams to improve cost, efficiency, and performance
- Analyze and explain manufacturing variances (labor, material, overhead, PPV, usage)
- Maintain and enhance standard costing processes
- Support month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Monitor and report on:
- Cost performance and productivity
- Inventory valuation and accuracy
- Budget vs. actual results
- Capacity and utilization
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning
- Identify cost savings opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong understanding of:
- Standard costing
- Inventory accounting
- Variance analysis
- ERP experience required (Epicor a plus)
- Hands-on and detail-oriented, but able to see the bigger picture
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Comfortable working directly with operations and plant leadership
- Clear communicator who can translate financial data into actionable insights
- Self-starter who takes ownership and drives results
- High visibility and direct impact on plant performance
