About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Mechanical Maintenance Leader to drive maintenance excellence at a key manufacturing site. You will spearhead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring optimal performance of mechanical systems through hands-on leadership, strategic planning, and meticulous execution. Your expertise in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and team development will be crucial in maximizing equipment reliability and plant uptime.
Responsibilities
- Guide a team of mechanical maintenance technicians, optimizing schedules and providing expert support to achieve maintenance goals.
- Oversee preventive and corrective actions on critical mechanical assets, including conveyors, pumps, compressors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, to minimize disruptions.
- Provide hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, fabrication, and welding to swiftly resolve equipment malfunctions and maintain operational efficiency.
- Design and implement preventive maintenance (PM) programs, ensuring timely completion and maximizing equipment lifespan.
- Support capital projects, contributing to planning, installation, and commissioning to enhance plant infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and parts inventory, ensuring compliance and efficient resource management.
- Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, fostering a proactive and solution-oriented environment.
- Partner with engineering and production teams to boost equipment reliability and minimize downtime, contributing to overall productivity gains.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, including 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and welding techniques.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proven skills in troubleshooting complex mechanical and industrial equipment.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage teams and priorities.
