About the Role
As a Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will serve as the primary driver of production excellence across our facilities. You will lead cross-functional teams to optimize operational workflows, enhance safety culture, and ensure that our manufacturing output consistently meets high-quality standards while maximizing financial performance.
Responsibilities- Direct all production, maintenance, and material handling departments to achieve aggressive targets for safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Analyze and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to boost productivity and reduce variable labor costs.
- Oversee production scheduling and inventory management through ERP systems to align with customer demand.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including 6S and Kaizen programs, to eliminate waste and refine processes.
- Manage facility projects, including equipment installations and layout optimizations, by coordinating internal and external resources.
- Mentor and develop supervisory staff and production teams to foster a culture of professional growth and operational accountability.
- Monitor quality metrics and lead root cause analysis to minimize defects and reduce the cost of poor quality.
- Maintain fiscal responsibility by managing plant budgets, operating expenses, and labor utilization.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing P&L performance and operational budgets.
- Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and data analysis using Excel.
Preferred Skills
- Specific background in metal stamping and fabrication processes.
- Experience maintaining ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management systems.
- Demonstrated success in leading safety programs and OSHA compliance.
- Strong technical familiarity with CNC, robotic welding, and press machinery.
