Manufacturing Floor Lead

As a Manufacturing Floor Lead, you will serve as the primary point of contact for your team, driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. You will be instrumental in optimizing production workflows and mentoring team members to achieve high-performance manufacturing goals.

• Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring all team members adhere to rigorous compliance and operational protocols.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by encouraging staff to identify waste reduction opportunities and process efficiencies.
• Mentor and coach personnel to enhance technical skills, equipment proficiency, and overall productivity.
• Coordinate daily production schedules to ensure operational metrics are met consistently.
• Facilitate a collaborative environment by acting as a liaison between production staff and technical support teams.
• Manage employee relations and provide guidance on operational standards to maintain a motivated, high-performing workforce.
• Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and minimize work-in-progress inventory.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solution-oriented thinking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated commitment to servant leadership and team development.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations Management.
• Working knowledge of Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S methodologies.
• Experience navigating labor relations or union environments.
• Background in managing production scheduling and process control systems.
