About the Role
As a CNC Equipment Technician, you will serve as a critical technical resource, ensuring the peak performance and reliability of our advanced machining fleet. You will drive operational efficiency by executing proactive maintenance strategies and rapidly resolving complex mechanical or electrical failures on high-precision CNC systems.
Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to maximize the uptime and longevity of CNC mills, lathes, and laser cutting systems.
- Diagnose and resolve urgent equipment breakdowns with a focus on minimizing production downtime and restoring operational flow.
- Collaborate directly with OEM technical support teams to troubleshoot sophisticated system errors and expand internal technical expertise.
- Perform precise CNC machine setups, changeovers, and tooling adjustments to support diverse manufacturing requirements.
- Manage technical documentation and maintenance records to track equipment health and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the installation and calibration of new CNC machinery to ensure seamless integration into the production environment.
Required Skills
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in CNC machine repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex CNC control systems and mechanical assemblies.
- Strong understanding of CNC tooling, programming, and machine setup procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics for various CNC platforms including VMCs and multi-axis lathes.
Preferred Skills
- Associate degree in CNC Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) for work order tracking.
- Familiarity with advanced CNC technologies such as waterjets, plasma cutters, or automated robotic cells.
