Manufacturing Engineer - Casting Operations

As a Die Casting Manufacturing Engineer, you will drive excellence in aluminum production by optimizing complex casting processes and enhancing operational efficiency. You will leverage your technical expertise in metal casting to solve engineering challenges, improve product quality, and implement innovative manufacturing solutions.

• Develop and refine aluminum die casting parameters to maximize yield, reduce cycle times, and ensure consistent product quality.
• Collaborate with maintenance and tooling teams to ensure die integrity and equipment reliability throughout the production lifecycle.
• Manage automated post-casting processes, including laser marking for traceability, precision auto deburring, and efficient trim pressing.
• Utilize distortion analysis to monitor dimensional accuracy and implement corrective measures to prevent material warping.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations to resolve process failures and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including SOPs and process trial reports, to standardize manufacturing best practices.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize facility layouts for cost and energy efficiency.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or 4-6 years of equivalent technical experience.
• 3 years of hands-on experience in aluminum die casting or high-pressure metal casting environments.
• Strong proficiency in troubleshooting casting defects and performing root cause analysis.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications and apply precise measurement techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Advanced knowledge of automated finishing systems and 2D matrix code integration.
• Experience with CAD software or simulation tools for process design.
