Shift Mechanic / Maintenance Technician
Schedule: Night Shift | 2-2-3 rotation (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Shift Mechanic for a highly automated manufacturing plant to boost equipment reliability and production efficiency within a safety-conscious and fast-paced setting. The primary responsibilities of this role include preventative maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine preventative maintenance and track equipment performance to ensure smooth operations.
Address mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fundamental electrical problems swiftly to reduce interruptions.
Respond quickly to production and maintenance requests, ensuring clear communication across departments.
Ensure equipment is always safe and ready for production through proactive maintenance.
Provide guidance and support to less experienced technicians and trainees.
Attend daily production meetings to discuss safety, quality, maintenance, and ongoing improvements.
Interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams accurately.
Keep detailed maintenance records and adhere to established procedures.
Spearhead or assist with preventative maintenance programs, ensuring adherence to schedules.
Maintain a tidy and safe workspace, adhering to all safety regulations.
Regularly lift, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED is essential.
Completion of a technical or maintenance training program is an advantage.
Experience
At least three years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Technical Skills
Solid mechanical skills, including familiarity with:
Electromechanical systems
Hydraulics and pneumatics
Essential electrical systems
Automated equipment or robotics (preferred, but not mandatory)
Competent in the use of both hand tools and power tools.
PLC programming skills are not required.
Additional Skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
