Engineering Technician
Located in Ellisville, MS, this role operates on a 12-hour day shift schedule from 05:00am to 05:30pm.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to lower Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and reach first-pass yield targets, while assisting with First Article Inspection (FAI) and SPS data for product launches and process upgrades.
- Draft essential documentation for new applications, such as standard operating procedures, job routers, job safety analyses, and work instructions.
- Investigate equipment malfunctions to determine root causes and spearhead Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives to improve system performance.
- Take an active role in reliability incident reviews by organizing action items and ensuring their successful execution.
- Drive Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to boost machine uptime in alignment with facility goals and utilize process data to spearhead improvement projects.
- Contribute to productivity initiatives using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, assist in designing and adjusting tooling for new and existing processes, and participate in design reviews to prioritize ergonomics and safety in production systems.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a GED or High School Diploma.
- Demonstrated capacity to integrate technical knowledge with hands-on application, manage multiple projects autonomously, and collaborate effectively with Operations, Engineering, and Quality departments.
- Consistent reliability in completing all assigned responsibilities within designated timeframes.
- Flexibility to work extended shifts, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Prior experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies is considered a plus.
