Electrical Systems Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing planned maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, and implementing equipment upgrades. Your expertise in electrical systems, PLCs, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting will be critical to our success.

• Conduct planned electrical maintenance on thermoforming equipment to maintain system integrity and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in blenders, crystallizers, extruders, formers, trim presses, conveyors, and grinders, ensuring efficient production.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC drives and motors, PLC-controlled systems, heaters, thermocouples, and safety circuits to maintain operational standards.
• Implement performance improvements and upgrades to existing equipment, enhancing overall efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders using Maintenance Connection, ensuring timely completion and documentation.
• Uphold a safe, clean, and organized work environment in all areas of responsibility, adhering to company standards.
• Comply with all company rules, policies, and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and blueprint reading (mechanical/electrical).
• Proven electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to overtime and off-shift schedules as needed.

Preferred Skills

• 2-year electro-mechanical technical degree.
• 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in PLC and PC controls, particularly with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Omron systems.
• Familiarity with welding and fabrication techniques.
• Possession of personal tools and the ability to use them safely and effectively.
