CNC Lathe Machinist

Avalign Integrated Medical is seeking a dedicated CNC Lathe Machinist for our Mentor, OH facility, working a 1st shift schedule.

In this role, you will be responsible for the operation of numerical control (CNC) equipment, specialized machinery, and conventional tools to manufacture components that align with precise client requirements.

• Manage the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of Star CNC Swiss equipment to help produce high-quality medical implants.
• Execute necessary tool changes, machine offsets, and adjustments to ensure all parts remain within strict tolerance levels.
• Review work instructions, setup sheets, and technical blueprints to guarantee that every component fulfills customer needs.
• Use optical comparators, micrometers, and calipers to verify the accuracy of machined parts through precise measurement.
• Complete daily preventative maintenance tasks and routine upkeep to ensure equipment reliability.
• Record all production data, such as work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection documentation, to maintain accurate records.
• Adhere to rigorous quality assurance standards and traceability protocols to support the integrity of our products.
• Work alongside quality and engineering departments to help refine and improve existing machining workflows.
• Uphold a tidy and secure workspace by consistently applying 5S methodology to your daily routine.

• Completion of a high school diploma or GED; additional technical certifications are considered an asset.
• At least three years of hands-on experience in the setup and operation of CNC Lathe equipment.
• A minimum of one year of experience interpreting technical blueprints.
• At least one year of practical experience applying GD&T principles and utilizing measurement tools like gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with a high level of precision and focus.
