Key Responsibilities
- Perform software system development related to enhancements, routine maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Provide break/fix support and resolve bugs within existing mainframe systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for support and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct quality assurance, testing, and validation of system changes.
- Deliver knowledge transfer and technical support to internal personnel.
- Analyze complex system functions and deliver solutions aligned with organizational and user needs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the operations and maintenance of financial systems.
- 6 years of experience in computer systems support or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with equivalent experience.
- Strong COBOL programming skills, including experience upgrading COBOL versions and understanding compiler-level changes.
- Experience with CA Scheduler for job scheduling and automation.
- Proficient in handling and manipulating VSAM datasets.
- In-depth knowledge of DB2 for z/OS, including its integration with mainframe applications.
- Experience with CICS for maintaining and updating transaction-based environments.
- Skilled in using Easytrieve for reporting and DB2 data extraction.
- Familiarity with REXX scripting on the mainframe.
- Experience with PanValet or similar version control tools.
- Comfortable working with Java on the mainframe for application maintenance or modernization efforts.
- Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with public sector financial applications.
- Understanding of mainframe modernization techniques and hybrid environments.
