Key Responsibilities:
- Use Adobe Acrobat, CommonLook, and similar tools to remediate PDF documents for accessibility compliance.
- Remediate other document types including Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based content.
- Use assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, or Narrator to manually test document accessibility.
- Respond to and fulfill accessibility accommodation requests from external stakeholders.
- Track remediation progress and prepare activity reports as needed.
- Stay current on evolving accessibility standards and document compliance requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Acrobat/Pro for document editing and remediation.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software tools quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of experience in document accessibility remediation and compliance auditing.
- Hands-on experience with CommonLook PDF or other remediation tools.
- Skilled in using screen readers and assistive technology for accessibility testing (JAWS, NVDA, Narrator, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of accessibility guidelines: Section 508, WCAG, and PDF/UA standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and independently solve problems.
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
Work Eligibility Requirements:
- Must currently live and work within the state of Colorado.
- This role is term limited and not contract to hire.
