ABOUT THE UNIT:
The Director is responsible for providing vision and leadership for developing, managing and implementing information technology initiatives. The Chief Information Officer directs the planning and implementation of the organizational Information Technology (IT) systems in support of operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality and development. This individual is responsible for the design, modification, implementation, and evaluation of information and information technology strategies for Maury Regional Medical Center and its affiliates. The CIO must establish and maintain a highly effectively close working relationship with the MRMC Senior Leadership Team and the affiliate executives and all professional staff. A key requirement is a strong understanding of information technology software and systems, with substantial exposure to hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, business recovery, and intra-company communication tools. Results-oriented, inclusive management style, with the leadership skills needed to lead by example, empower, and motivate staff within an entrepreneurial, customer service-oriented environment. Must have experience with systems design and development from identification of business requirements and analysis through day-to-day management. Proven track record of success related to IT planning, organization and development coupled with a demonstrated knowledge of the industry and its operations. The ability to manage multiple tasks and high-volume workload. Must possess a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. Must have strong business and personal integrity with ethical high standards and will be required to ensure security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Related Field Required
- 10 Years Healthcare IT experience Required
- 5 Years Leadership experience supervising a team of IT professionals Required
- Master's Business Administration Preferred
- Bachelor's Computer Science Preferred
- 2 Years CIO experience in a Healthcare environment Preferred
