General Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Mathews Brothers CFO, the Director of Technology plans and implements additions, deletions and major modifications to the company’s information technology infrastructure, assuring functionality and security of networks, servers, desktops and manufacturing systems. They must anticipate future network needs, identifies proactive solutions to satisfy needs, and successfully implement them. The Director of Technology will oversee the team of IT technicians and ensure that all tech issues are resolved in a timely fashion with continuous status updates to leadership.
Essential Job Functions
Supervises team of IT Support Technicians located in Belfast and Hermon.
Skills/Experience/Training Required
A combination of normal office environment, not subject to extremes in temperature, noise, odors, etc., and factory floor, where the noise level is often moderate to loud. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may occasionally have to climb a ladder. Some travel required between facility locations.

Essential Job Functions
- Develops appropriate IT infrastructure to fulfill manufacturing and administrative needs
- Maintains network accessibility, with goal of 24/7 uptime
- Maintains security of all company networks, keeping up to date on industry best practices
- Helps establish and maintain relationships with appropriate vendors and suppliers
- Evaluates network performance and plans upgrades as needed
- Assures documentation of network performance and security
- Develops and conducts training programs for users
- Assures thorough backup of company data across all systems
- Assures maintenance and upgrades to in-house ordering system (Build-A-Window)
- Resolves any tech issues quickly and thoroughly with clear status communication updates
- Other duties as assigned
Supervises team of IT Support Technicians located in Belfast and Hermon.
Skills/Experience/Training Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and 8 years in an IT manager role
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated experience with SQL Database, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Great Plains
- Proven success as a people manager
