Matern Staffing is hiring a Quality Technician for a global defense technology company in Camden, AR.
The Quality Technician supports the documentation, process verification, and final acceptance testing of Hero loitering munition systems. This role supports quality assurance, acceptance testing, and rework activities in a regulated manufacturing environment with AS9100 and government traceability requirements.
This is a direct hire opportunity best suited for a professional with a strong technical background in electronics and electro-mechanical systems who works with attention to detail and takes pride in supporting high-quality operations.
U.S. citizenship is required due to client/government contract requirements.

Travel:
- 25% expected travel to headquarters in Stafford, VA for initial and ongoing training
- Occasional travel (within US and international) to vendors or partner production sites to support integration and final acceptance testing
Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday (10-hour days)
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze and interpret test data to confirm device-under-test and system-under-test compliance and reliability
- Conduct hands-on testing of electronic, mechanical, and integrated subsystems in both controlled and uncontrolled environments
- Document test results, issues, troubleshooting steps, and corrective measures in a clear and traceable manner
- Maintain detailed records of test configuration and data such as serialization and traceability
- Maintain detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of interactions of the company’s IP with the IP of industry partners
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and discrepancies then collaborate with various teams to identify root causes and execute corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, military standards, and environmental guidelines during testing
What You’ll Need:
- U.S. citizenship is required due to client/government contract requirements
- Associate’s degree in a technical field or 24 months of equivalent hands-on experience
- At least 18 months of experience in product evaluation, acceptance testing, or similar quality functions; defense, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of testing methods, quality assurance processes, and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with test software and equipment; proprietary systems experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills for complex systems
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and GD&T engineering drawings
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety standards
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams
- Ability to travel up to 25% to HQ in Virginia and to partner sites
- Valid U.S. passport required to support potential international travel related to government contracts or program support
