We are looking for a dynamic, driven, payroll professional, with high integrity, attention to detail and a solution-oriented collaborator. Progressive payroll experience is necessary, preferably with ADP WFN or similar.Master's Transportation is a local, privately owned business that has expanded dramatically over the last few years and recently branched into full scale bus manufacturing.

Job Summary: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing and processing employee payroll within an organization. They play a crucial role in ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time. This involves calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, as well as maintaining payroll records and resolving any discrepancies. Payroll Specialists also stay updated with relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance with payroll policies. Additionally, they may assist with preparing financial reports, analyzing payroll data, and providing support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries. Overall, a Payroll Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining the financial stability and satisfaction of employees within an organization.
Essential Functions:
- Collecting timesheet data and payroll information.
- Entering data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs.
- Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
- Preparing and processing paychecks and cash deposits.
- Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
- Preparing and distributing income statements.
- Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
- Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations.
- Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
- Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management.

Required Education/Experience/Certifications:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in payroll or a similar role.
- 2 plus years of recent experience with HRIS payroll systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software with high level proficiency in Excel.
Preferred Education/Experience/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field preferred.
